The DME (engine control unit) and the EGS (transmission control unit) work together to ensure that upshifting and downshifting take place as smoothly as possible.
For performance purposes, it is sometimes desirable to adjust the gear ratios—for example, for track use when higher acceleration is required.
The standard final drive gear ratio of an M3 with DCT is 3.15, or more specifically: 3.154. For a manual M3, the gear ratio is 3.85 (3.846).

Is there anything else possible?
Absolutely! It is also possible to load the M3 GTS software right away. For more information, see this page: M3 GTS DKG software.
This modification is also necessary if you want to convert an M3 from a manual to the DKG. The advantage of this adjustment is that you can then keep the differential from the manual car.
This modification is suitable for: BMW E90 M3, BMW E92 M3, BMW E93 M3. The vehicles must be equipped with the DCT / DKG dual-clutch transmission. For the Z4 35i, 335i, and 335is, other solutions are available. Contact us for more information.
