Remote coding, learning and programming of BMW/Mini modules after damage repair
BMW and Mini are incorporating more and more systems into their cars. These include driver assistance systems (ADAS), smart lighting and safety systems. These systems work together and are susceptible to errors. After damage repair and parts replacement, the software must therefore be precisely calibrated again.
In the past, you could do a lot with a universal readout computer. But with new BMW/Mini models, that is often no longer enough. Increasingly, you need original BMW/Mini diagnostics and online access to factory systems. Many parts have security features or need to be unlocked before they work properly.
Carware works with original BMW/Mini software and can remotely teach, code and program modules. All you need is a laptop, a suitable OBD cable and a stable internet connection. We will guide you through the session and clearly explain what has been done and what you still need to check afterwards.

ADAS learning & dynamic calibration
Modern BMW and Mini models have ADAS driver assistance systems, such as lane assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist and blind spot detection. These systems use cameras, radar and sensors. After damage repair or part replacement, these systems often need to be re-calibrated or reprogrammed, otherwise error codes will keep reappearing or ADAS will not work properly.
We can encode, programme and teach KAFAS cameras and long/short range radar, among other things. Where necessary, we also arrange BMW certificates, such as FSC and SFA, so that everything works according to factory specifications again.
Sometimes, dynamic calibration is required afterwards. We will clearly indicate what is needed and can provide remote guidance (depending on the vehicle and situation).
Programming headlights
BMW headlights often consist of multiple modules. After replacement, you must programme and teach the headlight(s). If this is not done, functions will not work properly or faults will remain.
To save costs, it is often possible to program used headlights and used headlight modules. We provide remote support for this, even for newer systems and variants with laser light.
Reading BMW/Mini with OEM software
We recommend reading every BMW or Mini with OEM software before delivery. This helps to prevent return visits and saves time afterwards. After damage repair, for example, a plug, cable or antenna may not be properly connected. This is not always immediately visible on the dashboard, but it can cause complaints. With original BMW/Mini diagnostics, we can find these kinds of anomalies more quickly, so you can resolve them before the car leaves.
Airbag / SRS programming
Secure coding is increasingly being used in airbag and SRS systems. As a result, it is often no longer possible to program or replace these systems using a universal scan tool. We can program and code SRS/airbag modules with original software in accordance with factory specifications, ensuring that the system works correctly again and error messages disappear.
Learning modules after theft damage
In cases of theft damage, BMW regularly has parts stolen, such as speedometers, navigation/head units and (in certain models) steering wheels. After replacement, the car often needs to be reprogrammed, otherwise functions will not work or malfunctions will remain.
